The 2009 ASEE Robotics Competition was held in Austin, TX. The 2009 competition required teams to design a robot that collect various colored golf balls from the course and deposit them into a red and blue goal at either end of the course.
Cedarville's entry, Jitterbug, used a sweeper to collect the golf balls and used a color sensor to control a door that would deposit red and blue golf balls into designated containers within the robot. Jitterbug then opened each compartment to place the balls into the goals.
Jitterbug was 3D printed and fitted with custom electronics.
Cedarville placed first in this competition.
